Yes the title says Lancer, yes it was a Mitsubishi day but we do only have a few pictures of any.
Now for the die-hard Lancer fans im sorry, but it seemed that not many attended.
This is down to the weather being, well, more suited to ducks than track cars.
But we still got some pics and a little write up for you!
We at Definitive do not have a favourite, we simply admire both car's ability to provide amazing power and handling that is sometimes on par with supercars at a price that doesn't leave you drinking tap water from your neighbours outdoor tap and eating whatever you find outside maccy d's once the boy racers have left.
We can see the appeal and while we were looking for a new project for ourselves we found us ebaying both
(sadly we didn't go for either).
We say this partly becuase it actually is and mostly because we didn't actually get any pics of track action.
We do apologise but due to other commitments we had to leave the party early.
We did though get a chance to look around the paddock and get some shots of a few cars.
Now any track day is full with a variety of cars so why would a Mitsubishi focused one be any different?
an excuse to get out on track and enjoy the raw thrill of motorsport.
A friend of Definitive got the chance to head out for a few laps in this car and
upon returning had these words to say "WOW",
a man of many words im sure you will agree.
Radicals are pure bread track cars, with a numberplate and
the ideal toy for those of you who wish to participate in regular events.
After admiring the car and snapping some shots it was off to see what
other marques could be found hiding in the Castle Combe Paddock.
The Seat perhaps sums up that typical british enthusiasm for motorsport.
No matter what the budget or mechanical knowledge fun can be had on a circuit near you.
The Exige on the other hand, well that is built to do exactly this.
This being the R model is track prepped from scratch.
Not an un-needed ounce or fat person in sight and the heavily stonechipped splitter
clearly proving this wouldnt be the first time this beast was out on track
Any excuse to take photo's a video or any other media related activity and we are there.
So perhaps the most exciting bit for us was finding out about the GoPro HD Hire service offered at the day.
For the measly sum of £35 you can film your track exploits for the whole day
using a GoPro HD camera mounted on your car.
Simply pay the sum, insert your own or a hired SD card, mount it to the car and off you go.
Capture each overtake, perfect line and dare we say crash in gloriuos high definition.
This is something we are very excited to use.
Again we are sorry its short and sorry that despite the title it contains very little Mitsubishi content.
We promise the next post will be bigger, better and sightly more satarical and amusing.
